Who am I?
My name is Zhu Li (pronounced exactly as “Julie”). I’m a product designer based in Bay Area, California. I'm keen on solving complex problems holistically and connecting the dots between user insights and business goals to create elegantly simple solutions.
What do I do?
💡 Lead design process with research and data, while executing design work using high-quality wireframes, sketches, mockups, user flows, and cross-platform interactive prototypes.
💡 Highly proficient with design tools and interactive prototyping tools (Sketch, Figma, Principle, Invision, Photoshop, Illustrator, Zeplin, InDesign, Solidworks, Keyshot, Alias, Premiere).
💡 Work closely with design, engineering, research, and marketing teams to solve problems within digital spaces and physical ones.
💡 Share design work regularly with company leadership and present cross-functionally with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment.
💡 Design on multiple platforms (iOS, Mobile, Tablet, Desktop, etc).
My design journey
Before leaping into UX, I worked as an industrial designer, collaborated with designers and engineers to transform tricky problems into elegant and easy-to-use physical products. While giving the chance to redesign the company website, I discovered my passion for User Experience Design. Beyond only thinking of the physical object itself, I find myself always trying to think of the context of the users and the problem needed to be solved. I realized my focus is more towards the experience side instead of the tangible object. Without hesitation, I enrolled in UX training, striving to go beyond the shape and design for users with both digital and physical mindsets.

When not designing, I’m a museum-goer, nature-lover, and podcast & audiobook-listener. I’m always looking for a new adventure, on the search for design events, sci-fi movies, and unique restaurants.
